Privacy Policy — 7 Reads 7 Days

Last updated: 7 September 2026

7 Reads 7 Days is a read-it-later app for Android. It has no accounts, no servers of its own, and no analytics. This policy explains the little that happens with your data.

What the app collects

Nothing is collected by the developer. There is no backend service behind this app. No personal data is transmitted to me, sold, or shared with third parties for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose. The app contains no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no analytics SDKs of any kind.

What the app stores on your device

Everything the app knows lives in local storage on your phone, in an app-private database and preferences file:

This data is removed when a read burns or is deleted, and all of it is removed when you uninstall the app.

Network requests the app makes

The app makes network requests only to the websites you choose to save:

Those sites will see these requests the way they see any visit: your IP address and the request headers your device sends. That is a normal consequence of fetching a web page, and I receive none of it.

Android backup

The app allows Android's standard Auto Backup. If you have device backup enabled, Android may include the app's local data in the encrypted backup stored in your own Google account. That backup is controlled by you and by Google, not by me, and I have no access to it. You can disable it in your device's backup settings.

Notifications

The app can send you notifications when a read is close to burning. These are generated on your device. There is no push service and no message is sent from a server.

Permissions

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date at the top.
